Introducing Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras
Every Rare Timbers piece is individually crafted from genuine Australian timber. Due to the natural variation in grain and colour, every piece is completely unique and will differ from the photographs shown. That individuality is what makes each one truly one of a kind.

Responsibly sourced from Tasmania, Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras is one of Australia's most distinctive and sought-after native timbers.
Its dramatic black heart figure occurs naturally within the tree, creating striking patterns of charcoal, black and warm honey tones that can never be duplicated.
Fine-grained with a silky finish, Blackheart Sassafras is prized by craftspeople for its beauty, stability and exceptional workability.
