Timbers

At RT Studios we love everything about timber and want you to enjoy the beauty and warmth of it as much as we do.

When selecting the wood for our range, we consider the grain pattern, colour and type of wood. Each variety of timber has its own unique character, and these characteristics are what makes each item so unique and special. We are continually inspired by the variations and differences between the species and design our products to work in harmony with this wonderful natural material. When giving a timber item as a gift you know it will be a one off item to treasure.

We source many different timbers from different places in Australia. We recycle timbers when we can and some of the solid timber species we use may include Elm, Poplar, Claret Ash, Cypress, Tasmanian Blackwood, Spotted Gum, Redgum, Merbau, Walnut, Ash, Rose Mahogony, Australian Red Cedar, Pacific Maple, Queensland Maple and Silky Oak. We also look to find rare and interesting timbers to complement our original and modern designs.
